Welcome to the Internet home of Mountain Restoration.

I have specialized in antique furniture restoration for 20 years. Much of this time I lived with my family on the island of St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. There I had the opportunity to work with the finest mahogany and other hardwoods and to restore many beautiful antiques damaged or nearly destroyed by frequent hurricanes. We now live in Asheville, North Carolina, where my shop is located and I continue with my restoration work, as well as the construction of new furniture.

As you will see in the photo section of this site, there is not much that can't be brought back to life with careful attention to detail. Over the years, I've developed a hand rubbed antique finish that brings out the grain and character of each piece.
